650 V TrenchStop 5 IGBT in a reworkable D²Pak
The Infineon IKB15N65EH5ATMA1 is a 650 V, 30 A TrenchStop 5 IGBT in a surface-mount D²Pak (PG-TO263-3) package. This is a Trench Field Stop device with standard gate drive, rated for continuous collector current up to 30 A and pulsed current to 45 A. The 38 nC gate charge keeps drive power low, while the 175 °C maximum junction temperature gives headroom for high-ambient environments like motor drives, PFC stages, and industrial power supplies.
Package and mounting — what the D²Pak tab means at the bench
The PG-TO263-3 (D²Pak) is a large-tab surface-mount package. The tab is the collector, so the PCB copper pour under the part doubles as the heatsink.
Lifecycle and compliance
It is ROHS3 compliant. No end-of-life notice or last-time-buy window is in effect. For new designs, this part is a current-generation TrenchStop 5 device, not a phase-out candidate.
