The Cypress FM25040B-G is a 4Kbit ferroelectric RAM (FRAM) in an 8-SOIC package, communicating over an SPI bus at up to 20 MHz.
The ROHS3 compliance covers the EU RoHS exemption list.
FRAM writes at SPI bus speed with no write-cycle delay and offers endurance of 10¹⁴ cycles — orders of magnitude higher than EEPROM's typical 1 million cycles. No page-buffer management or wear-leveling is needed.
The Tape & Reel variant is FM25040B-GTR. For a 3.3V supply, the FM25L04B-DG is pin-compatible. For higher density, the FM25640B-G offers 64Kbit in the same 8-SOIC package and 4.5V–5.5V supply.
