The Infineon (formerly Cypress) CYUSB3014-BZXCT is a SuperSpeed USB peripheral controller from the EZ-USB FX3 series. It integrates an ARM9 core with 512K x 8 of embedded RAM and a flexible GPIF interface, along with I2C, I2S, SPI, UART, and USB connectivity. This combination makes it the bridge chip for designs that need to move bulk data between a host USB 3.0 port and a parallel or serial peripheral — think high-speed imaging, software-defined radio, or FPGA configuration over USB. The 121-TFBGA package (10x10 mm) and commercial temperature range (0°C to 70°C) target controlled indoor environments like lab instrumentation, test equipment, and consumer electronics.
The ARM9 core runs the FX3 firmware stack and handles USB protocol processing without an external host CPU. The 512K x 8 RAM is the data buffer for SuperSpeed transfers.
