The CYUSB3012-BZXC is an EZ-USB FX3 series controller built around an ARM9 core, purpose-designed as a SuperSpeed USB peripheral controller. It handles USB 3.0 data throughput while managing GPIF, I²C, I²S, SPI, UART, and USB interfaces — enough flexibility to bridge a sensor array, an audio codec, or a parallel bus to the host over a single USB cable.

Package, supply, and temperature grade

With 60 general-purpose I/O and 256K x 8 of RAM, the part runs code from external program memory, so the BOM must include a companion SPI NOR flash or parallel boot device.
