8-bit control core with 16 MHz throughput
The CY95F634KPMC-G-UNE2 is an 8-bit F²MC-8FX microcontroller from Infineon's MB95630H series, clocked at 16 MHz. That core speed, combined with a single-cycle multiplier in the F²MC-8FX pipeline, gives it enough headroom for real-time sensor polling and actuator PWM generation without needing a separate timer coprocessor. Program memory is 20 KB of on-chip flash (20K x 8), backed by 1 KB of SRAM. For a typical motor-fan controller or LIN-bus slave node, the flash holds the application and bootloader with margin; the 1 KB RAM handles a few dozen sensor readings and a communication buffer without overflow.
Peripheral set for mixed-signal control
On-chip peripherals include a low-voltage detect (LVD), power-on reset (POR), PWM timer, and watchdog timer (WDT). These four blocks eliminate the need for external supervisor ICs and reset generators in most designs — the LVD triggers a graceful shutdown below the 2.4 V minimum supply, and the WDT catches firmware hangs without a separate watchdog chip. The 8-channel ADC is configurable for either 8-bit or 10-bit resolution. At 10-bit, it resolves a 5 V reference to about 4.9 mV per count — adequate for reading thermistors, potentiometers, or current-sense shunt voltages in a 5 V system. The 29 general-purpose I/O lines include enough for a 16-key matrix plus a few LED indicators and a serial debug header. Connectivity options are I²C, LINbus, SIO (a synchronous serial interface), and UART/USART. The LIN controller makes this part a natural fit for automotive body-electronics slave nodes (window lifts, seat adjusters) or industrial sensor hubs that talk over a single-wire bus. The I²C port can poll an external EEPROM or temperature sensor without bit-banging GPIO.
Supply and temperature range
The external oscillator input means the clock source is a crystal or ceramic resonator — no internal RC drift to budget for. A 16 MHz fundamental-mode crystal gives the core its rated speed; the UART baud rate can be divided down from that master clock without fractional-N error at standard rates like 9600 or 115200 baud.
Package and board-fit
Housed in a 32-lead LQFP with a 7x7 mm body and 0.8 mm pitch. The 0.8 mm pitch is forgiving — a two-layer PCB with 6/6 mil trace/space rules routes all 29 I/O plus supply and ground without blind vias. The Tray packaging is standard for volume assembly; the part is also orderable in tape-and-reel variants for automated pick-and-place. ROHS3 compliant — no exemptions for lead in solder or PBB/PBDE flame retardants.
