USB 2.0 hub controller with I²C/SPI configuration

The Infineon CY7C65642-28LTXCT is a TetraHub USB 2.0 hub controller from the HX2VL series, designed for downstream port expansion in embedded systems, docking stations, and consumer electronics. It integrates a USB 2.0 hub with an I²C and SPI control interface, allowing the host to configure port power, overcurrent reporting, and other hub parameters without extra GPIO pins. The supply voltage range of 3.15V to 5.25V covers both 3.3V and 5V USB rails, so a single regulator can feed the controller and the downstream port power switches. The 28-QFN package (5x5 mm) with exposed pad helps thermal dissipation when driving multiple ports at full current.
