Four-port USB 2.0 hub controller in 48-LQFP
The Infineon CY7C65642-48AXC is a 4-port USB hub controller from the HX2VL TetraHub™ series, handling the downstream port expansion and upstream negotiation for a USB 2.0 host. It integrates the hub repeater, transaction translator, and port-power logic — a single-chip solution for adding four USB 2.0 (480 Mbps) downstream ports to a system.
Rated for the commercial temperature range (0 °C to 70 °C), so it is suited for desktop peripherals, docking stations, and indoor equipment where the ambient stays below 70 °C.
Host interface and configuration bus
The upstream port connects via USB 2.0; the controller exposes an I²C and SPI slave interface for configuration, status readback, and GPIO expansion — useful for a firmware engineer who wants to set port-power sequencing or read over-current flags without an extra MCU.
The exposed pad is on the bottom; the datasheet recommended land pattern is a standard JEDEC MS-026 variant. Shipped in tray format — no tape-and-reel option on this order code, so plan for pick-and-place handling if the tray-to-tube conversion is needed for your feeder.
RoHS3 compliant (2011/65/EU + 2015/863), no exemptions claimed.
