12 ns asynchronous SRAM in a 44-TSOP II footprint
The 44-TSOP II package (0.400 inch body width, 10.16 mm) is a common footprint for mid-density asynchronous SRAMs used in embedded control, telecom line cards, and industrial panel controllers where deterministic read/write timing matters more than density.
12 ns access — no dead cycles on a 66 MHz bus
With a 12 ns access time and a matching 12 ns write cycle time (word, page), this SRAM can sustain back-to-back reads or writes at clock rates up to roughly 66 MHz without inserting wait states. For a 16-bit microcontroller or a DSP with a 5 V memory interface, that means the bus can run at full speed during tight loops — no pipeline stalls for memory. The asynchronous interface simplifies timing closure: no clock tree, no DLL, just address-to-data valid within 12 ns of the chip-select edge.
Cypress (now part of Infineon) no longer manufactures this specific variant in production volumes.
5 V supply — not a 3.3 V part
It will not operate at 3.3 V — the internal memory array and I/O buffers are biased for the higher rail. If your design has migrated to a 3.3 V core, you need a different SRAM family (e.g., a 3.3 V asynchronous SRAM in the same footprint).
