The CY7C024-15AXC is a 64Kbit dual-port asynchronous SRAM organized as 4K words by 16 bits. It provides two independent ports with separate address, data, and control lines.
15 ns access — what it means for bus timing
The 15 ns access time and 15 ns write cycle time allow back-to-back reads and writes at the same rate.
Dual-port arbitration — no on-chip semaphores
This is a basic dual-port SRAM without integrated semaphore logic. Bus arbitration — deciding which port gets access when both try the same address simultaneously — must be handled externally by the system controller or by software handshake using dedicated mailbox locations. The part provides BUSY flag outputs that indicate when a port is blocked due to an address collision, but the resolution logic is off-chip.
The commercial temperature range limits this part to indoor, air-conditioned environments. Not rated for industrial enclosures, outdoor telecom cabinets, or automotive under-hood use. The industrial-temperature sibling in this family carries the -AXI suffix.
