Output drive and bus loading
High-level output current is rated at 15mA, low-level at 12mA. That drive strength is enough for a lightly loaded 5V bus segment — think a few TTL or CMOS loads on a short backplane trace. If the bus has more than a handful of loads or runs longer than a few inches, buffer with a second transceiver or use a higher-drive part. The 3-state outputs let multiple transceivers share the same bus lines without contention when the output enable is inactive.

The 24-SSOP footprint is 0.154" wide, 3.90mm body. Verify your PCB land pattern matches the supplier package drawing before placing the order.

It is ROHS3 compliant, so it passes the material declaration for EU and most global markets.
