The Cypress CY2XL11ZXI is a single-circuit clock generator that takes a crystal input and produces a differential LVDS output at frequencies up to 100 MHz. The integrated PLL (Yes) lets it clean up a reference clock or synthesize a new frequency from the crystal, making it a fit for clock-tree fan-out and jitter cleanup in systems where a clean differential clock is needed for SerDes, FPGA transceivers, or high-speed ADCs. The 1:1 input-to-output ratio means it is a single-channel generator, not a fan-out buffer — one crystal in, one LVDS pair out.
Supply rails and temperature grade — where it can live
The operating temperature range of -5°C to 70°C is commercial grade — fine for indoor equipment, test gear, or office networking, but not rated for outdoor telecom cabinets, automotive under-hood, or industrial floor environments without active thermal management. The 8-TSSOP package (4.40 mm width) is a small-outline surface-mount footprint suitable for dense PCB layouts.
