Spread-spectrum clock generator — what it does for your EMI budget
The Cypress CY25402SXC is a spread-spectrum clock generator with an integrated PLL. It accepts an LVCMOS or crystal reference input and delivers three clock outputs at up to 166 MHz.
Supply range and temperature grade — where it fits
Runs on a 2.25 V to 3.6 V supply. The operating temperature range is 0°C to 70°C — commercial grade only.
Package and footprint — 8-SOIC, field-swappable
Comes in an 8-pin SOIC package (3.90 mm body width). That is a standard, widely stocked footprint — easy to hand-solder, easy to probe, and straightforward to swap in the field if a unit goes down. No fine-pitch or BGA rework needed; a basic iron and a steady hand get it done.
Lifecycle — active, no near-term obsolescence concern
The official product status is Active. For a production BOM, this means you are not forced into a redesign or a lifetime-buy calculation right now.
