PLL zero-delay buffer — 1:5 fanout in narrow 8-SOIC
The CY2305CSXI-1 is a PLL-based zero-delay buffer that takes one LVCMOS or LVTTL input and distributes it to five LVCMOS outputs with near-zero propagation skew between channels. The internal PLL aligns the output edges to the input, so the buffer acts as a clean clock fanout for synchronous buses where timing margin is tight. Maximum output frequency is 133.33 MHz — suitable for DDR memory reference clocks, Ethernet PHY reference oscillators, or FPGA clock distribution up to that speed. The non-differential I/O (single-ended only) means it drives standard CMOS loads without external termination resistors.
Package and board-fit — 8-SOIC narrow body
Housed in an 8-lead SOIC with 3.90 mm body width (0.154″), the CY2305CSXI-1 uses the standard narrow SOIC footprint shared by thousands of logic and interface parts. The supplier device package is 8-SOIC — no special pad layout or thermal vias required. Supplied in tube (not tape-and-reel), so it arrives oriented for hand or low-volume pick-and-place. For reel quantities, confirm the packing option with the distributor at RFQ time.
Active lifecycle — no EOL pressure
The PLL function and 1:5 fanout ratio are fixed — no divider or multiplier on the outputs (No/No per the spec). This is a straight clock distribution buffer, not a frequency synthesizer.
