The BTS500101TADATMA2 is an Infineon Reversave™ automotive-grade high-side power switch rated for 48 A continuous output with a typical on-resistance of 1.6 mOhm. That Rds(on) figure is the lowest in the Reversave family — it keeps conduction loss under 3.7 W at full load, which the TO-263-7 D²Pak tab can sink into a copper plane without forced air. It operates from an 8 V to 18 V load supply (typical automotive battery rail) and requires no Vcc supply — the gate drive is self-biased from the load voltage. The single N-channel MOSFET switches on with a non-inverting On/Off input.
Fault protections that simplify the BOM
Four integrated fault protections — over-temperature, over-voltage, reverse battery, and short-circuit — eliminate the need for external clamp diodes, TVS, or current-sense resistors on most automotive loads.
