150 V drain, 43 A switching — N-channel HEXFET for automotive power
The AUIRF3415: Rated for 150 V drain-source and 43 A continuous switching current, this N-channel MOSFET handles the load currents typical of engine-bay power distribution, solenoid drivers, and DC-DC converter primary switches. The 42 mOhm maximum on-resistance at 22 A, 10 V gate drive keeps conduction losses manageable — at 22 A the dissipation is roughly 20 W, well within the 200 W package limit when the junction stays below 175°C. Gate threshold is 4 V max at 250 µA drain, so a 10 V gate drive fully enhances the channel and achieves the rated Rds(on).
Automotive temperature range — -55 to 175°C junction
This qualifies the part for under-hood and engine-mounted applications where ambient temperatures exceed 125°C and the die sees self-heating on top of the ambient.
Through-hole package in bulk — shelf-stable, no moisture sensitivity
Supplied in a through-hole package in bulk — no reel or tape, no moisture-sensitive label. The leads are tin-plated and solderable with standard wave or hand-soldering profiles. Bulk packaging means the parts arrive in tubes or trays; store them in a dry cabinet if the ambient humidity is above 60% RH, though the package itself has no MSL rating because through-hole devices are generally not moisture-sensitive.
