5A peak gate drive — what it means for your switching stage
The Infineon 2EDN7523FXTMA1 is a dual-channel low-side gate driver from the EiceDriver™ family, designed to drive N-channel MOSFETs with a peak source and sink current of 5 A each. The 5.3 ns typical rise time and 4.5 ns fall time keep switching losses low at high frequencies, which is what you need when charging and discharging large gate capacitances quickly. Supply range of 4.5 V to 20 V covers logic-level and standard gate drive voltages, and the independent channel architecture lets you drive two FETs with separate control signals — no cross-conduction worries from a shared input. The PG-DSO-8 footprint fits into compact power stages for DC-DC converters, synchronous rectifiers, and motor-drive output bridges.
