Dual-channel gate drive for synchronous rectification and half-bridge stages
The Infineon 1EDN7116GXTMA1 is a dual-channel gate driver from the EiceDRIVER™ family, configured for high-side or low-side drive of N-Channel MOSFETs. With two independent, non-inverting channels, it suits half-bridge, full-bridge, and synchronous-rectifier stages in switch-mode power supplies and motor-drive inverter stages. Each channel delivers 2 A peak source and sink current, with typical rise and fall times of 3 ns into a capacitive load — fast enough to minimise switching losses in hard-switched topologies running at several hundred kilohertz.
Supply rail and temperature range for industrial and automotive-grade designs
The driver operates from a 4.2 V to 11 V supply rail, covering the bias range of most logic-level and standard MOSFET gate thresholds. The -40°C to 125°C junction-temperature rating matches the industrial and under-hood automotive ambient envelope — the die sees the full range without derating.
