What this SSR does on the board
The Autonics SRS1-B1202-2 is a solid-state relay (SSR) in the SRS1 series, switching a single-pole single-throw normally-open (SPST-NO, 1 Form A) contact. It handles resistive or lightly inductive AC loads up to 2 A across a 90-240 VAC range, with zero-cross switching that turns on only near the AC voltage zero — this reduces inrush current and conducted EMI compared to random-turn-on SSRs. The input side accepts 4-30 VDC, making it compatible with standard 5 V, 12 V, or 24 V PLC digital outputs or microcontroller GPIOs without a series resistor for current limiting. The plug-in termination mates with a standard octal-style relay socket — no soldering required for panel wiring.
Mounting and panel integration
Socketable mounting means the relay body snaps into a matching 8-pin or 11-pin octal socket (not included). This is the same footprint used by electromechanical signal relays like the LY2 or MY2 series — the SRS1-B1202-2 is a drop-in SSR replacement where the load is AC and the switching frequency is higher than a mechanical relay's rated life.
