Output power and supply rail sizing
Rated 60mW x 2 into 32Ω, the amplifier drives typical consumer headphones to adequate listening levels without external buffer transistors. The 4.5V minimum supply means it operates from a single lithium-ion cell or a regulated 5V rail. The shutdown feature (part of the feature set) allows the output stage to be disabled, reducing quiescent current draw when the audio path is idle — useful for battery-powered designs where standby power matters.
