Quad-channel isolation for motor-drive feedback paths
The MAX22446CAWE+ is a quad-channel, unidirectional digital isolator from Analog Devices built on capacitive coupling technology. It delivers 5000 Vrms of galvanic isolation in a 16-SOIC wide-body package, making it a fit for breaking ground loops in motor-drive encoder interfaces, PLC digital I/O banks, and isolated power-supply feedback loops. That timing budget leaves enough margin for a 100 MHz SPI clock crossing the isolation barrier without bit errors.
Common-mode transient immunity and supply flexibility
Rated at 50 kV/µs typical common-mode transient immunity, this isolator survives the fast voltage slew events common in motor-drive and inverter environments — a ground-potential shift of several hundred volts in a few nanoseconds will not corrupt the data across the barrier.
