Product details

1-cell Li-Ion charger with USB power path

The LTC4055EUF-1#PBF is a single-cell Lithium-Ion battery charger IC designed to draw power directly from a USB port. It charges a 4.1V battery pack at a programmable constant current up to 1A, with an integrated timer to terminate the charge cycle. Fault protection covers over-temperature and reverse-current conditions, which means if the battery voltage exceeds the input or the die gets too hot, the charger shuts down rather than letting the magic smoke out.

Package and board-fit

Housed in a 16-WQFN Exposed Pad (4x4 mm, 0.50 mm pitch), surface-mount only. Supplied in tube format; the package code is 16-QFN (4x4). The 0.50 mm pitch means a standard reflow profile with a 0.10 mm stencil aperture is fine, but the exposed paddle requires a paste coverage of at least 50% to avoid voids that trap moisture and pop during rework.

Sourcing posture

This is an active, ROHS3-compliant part sourced through authorized distribution.

Frequently asked questions
