The DS9034I-PCX+ is a Back-Up Management IC from Analog Devices, designed to provide a replaceable lithium cell and control logic for nonvolatile SRAM and real-time clock (RTC) circuits. It integrates a Lithium Cell and the necessary power-switching and write-protect functions so that an external SRAM or RTC retains data when the main supply drops.
It fits telecom base stations, outdoor industrial controllers, utility metering, and security systems that need reliable data retention through power loss. It is not qualified for automotive under-hood environments (125°C junction), but the range covers most cabinet and enclosure applications.
The 34-PowerCap Module is a surface-mount package that mates with a matching socket on the PCB — typically the DS9034PCX socket or a footprint compatible with the DS12C887 family.
