Package and board-fit — 10-TDFN exposed pad
The DS2710G+T&R ships in a 10-WFDFN Exposed Pad package (3x4 mm body, 10-TDFN supplier package). The pad pattern and via array under the die paddle are part of the thermal design, not optional.
Application — single-cell NiMH charging with timer termination
Designed for charging one nickel-metal hydride cell (Number of Cells: 1). The programmable feature is a Timer — charge termination is time-based, not voltage-slope or temperature. The timer period is set by an external resistor; the charger applies a constant-current profile for the programmed duration then stops or switches to top-off. Max supply voltage is 5.5 V, so the input rail must stay under that ceiling.
