The AD8599ARZ is a dual-channel general-purpose operational amplifier in an 8-SOIC package, supplied in tube form. Supply span from 9 V to 30 V lets it run on common industrial rails (12 V, 15 V, 24 V) without a separate regulator. The 52 mA output current per channel can drive a small relay or the input of a successive-approximation ADC directly. Input offset voltage is 10 µV typical — low enough for precision DC-coupled stages without external trimming in most applications. Input bias current is 25 nA, which is fine for general-purpose buffering but not suited for high-impedance sensor front-ends (a JFET-input part like the AD8510 would be a better fit there).

The AD8599ARZ-REEL7 is the identical die and parametric specification in tape-and-reel packaging for automated pick-and-place lines. The only difference is the delivery format — tube vs reel. If your BOM calls for the REEL7 variant, the AD8599ARZ (tube) is functionally identical; the board layout and electrical performance are unchanged. Single-channel alternatives like the AD8675ARMZ (10 MHz, 2.5 V/µs, rail-to-rail output) or the AD8510ARZ-REEL7 (8 MHz, 20 V/µs, JFET input) are not direct drop-ins — they differ in pinout, number of channels, and input characteristics. For a dual-channel socket, the AD8599ARZ and its reel variant are the only direct matches.
