48 MHz LVCMOS clock for digital boards

The ASVMB-48.000MHZ-XY-T is a MEMS-based standard crystal oscillator (XO) delivering a 48 MHz LVCMOS output from a 1.8–3.3 V rail. The MEMS resonator replaces the traditional quartz crystal element — Pure Silicon™ is Abracon's branding for this approach — which removes the mechanical resonance and improves shock and vibration immunity on the board. ±10 ppm frequency stability covers the bulk of precision timing requirements without needing a TCXO or OCXO. For Ethernet PHY reference clocks, microcontroller PLLs, and FPGA distributed clocks, 48 MHz is a common multiplier target — the oscillator feeds the clock tree directly and the downstream IC locks to it.

Power draw and the standby function

Maximum supply current is 16 mA in active operation. In standby — the Power Down function listed in the spec — current drops to a maximum of 15 µA. That three-order-of-magnitude difference is what makes the standby pin useful on a board that powers down peripherals between tasks: the oscillator itself draws negligible current when the system core is asleep.

Industrial temperature grade and board footprint

That upper limit matters for enclosed panels or equipment without active cooling, where internal ambient climbs above the 85 °C commercial grade ceiling.
