MEMS XO at 29.4912 MHz
The ASVMB-29.4912MHZ-XY-T is a MEMS-based clock oscillator in the ASVMB Pure Silicon series, delivering a 29.4912 MHz LVCMOS output at ±10 ppm frequency stability from a 1.8 to 3.3 V rail. 29.4912 MHz is a fractional-MHz rate commonly derived from USB host clocks via PLL multiplication, making this frequency a natural fit for USB-connected MCUs and embedded systems that derive peripheral timing from the same reference as the USB PHY.
Supply range and standby function
The 1.8 V minimum supply covers low-voltage MCU cores and battery-powered portable designs; the 3.3 V maximum covers standard 3.3 V logic rails — a single part covers both voltage domains without a separate variant. The standby (power-down) function lets the host MCU gate the oscillator output and draw only 15 µA maximum while the part is disabled, versus 16 mA active — important for power-cycling strategies in battery-hosted or wake-on-event firmware.
Frequency stability across temperature
±10 ppm across -40 °C to 105 °C operating temperature covers industrial ambient ranges without requiring a TCXO for many applications — for a UART at 115200 baud, ±10 ppm contributes well under one baud error at room temperature, and stays within specification across the full operating band.
Package, board fit, and rework
The exposed pad also means rework requires pre-bake to prevent delamination, and the absence of side terminations reduces tombstoning risk during reflow compared to leaded equivalents — but visual inspection of the solder joint under the pad is not possible without X-ray.
