The ASV-10.000MHZ-EJ-T: The 10 mA maximum supply current is typical for a standard XO driving a HCMOS load into a 15 pF trace; draw more load capacitance and the rise/fall times stretch, which matters for downstream clock input hysteresis budgets. Frequency stability is ±20 ppm at 25 °C over the operating range of -20 °C to 70 °C — this is the commercial temperature grade. For a 10 MHz reference clock, ±20 ppm translates to a worst-case drift of ±200 Hz across the full temperature window, acceptable for UART baud-rate tolerance and most microcontroller PLL references but tighter than what a GPS-disciplined or rubidium source would provide.
Enable/disable shutdown cuts idle draw
The Enable/Disable function allows the oscillator to be turned off when not needed, drawing only 10 µA maximum in shutdown. In a battery-powered or power-gated subsystem this matters: a device that sleeps for hours and wakes on a clock transition runs longer when the oscillator is stopped between cycles rather than left running at 10 mA.
