5300 Vrms isolation and 800 V off-state for mains-switching designs
The Vishay VOT8025AD-V is a phototriac optocoupler in a 6-DIP through-hole package with a triac output rated for 800 V off-state and 5300 Vrms isolation. It includes a zero-crossing detection circuit that gates the triac on near the AC line zero crossing, reducing inrush current and radiated EMI in resistive or lightly inductive loads. The 1 kV/µs minimum static dV/dt gives the design margin against false triggering from line transients or commutating noise in motor-drive and solenoid applications.
On-state current and trigger sensitivity
Rated for 100 mA RMS on-state continuous current, with a typical holding current of 400 µA, meaning the triac stays latched once triggered even with a light load. Maximum continuous LED forward current is 50 mA.
Temperature range and approvals
Safety approvals include CQC, cUL, UL, and VDE, which streamlines acceptance in equipment destined for North American and European markets. The part is ROHS3 compliant.
It is a current-production part available through independent distribution.
