The GSIB2580N-M3/45: Rated 25 A average rectified output (Io) — this is the DC load current the bridge can deliver continuously with proper heatsinking. The 800 V peak reverse voltage (Vrrm) gives headroom on a 240 VAC line (340 V peak) and covers most three-phase rectifier inputs when wired as a single-phase leg. Forward voltage is 1 V typical at 12.5 A — at half rated current the conduction loss is about 12.5 W, which the GSIB-5S package's large copper tab can sink into a chassis or heatsink. The junction temperature range of -55°C to 150°C covers industrial and outdoor enclosures.
GSIB-5S package — rework and board integration
Through-hole GSIB-5S (4-SIP) with a wide copper tab — the leads are thick enough to hand-solder without a preheat plate, and the tab takes a screw or clip for thermal transfer to a heatsink. Pin 1 is marked by the chamfered corner on the body; the tab is electrically live (center-tap), so keep it clear of adjacent traces or use an insulating pad. Supplied in Tube — not tape-and-reel, so machine placement is not the intended feed. Fine for bench assembly or low-volume production where the tube is cut open and the parts are hand-loaded.
