The GBU6D-E3/45: The GBU6D-/45: The GBU6D-/45 is a Vishay single-phase bridge rectifier rated for 200 V peak reverse voltage and 3.8 A average rectified output. That 200 V PRV gives you comfortable margin on a 120 VAC line — the rectified DC bus sits around 170 V, so the bridge runs well inside its voltage ceiling. For 240 VAC applications you would step up to the 400 V or 600 V GBU6x variant; this part is sized for the lower-voltage offline rail.
Forward drop and thermal budget
At 3.8 A full load, expect conduction losses around 3.8 W — that heat has to get out through the GBU through-hole package into the PCB copper or a small clip-on heatsink.
Standard technology, single-phase topology
This is a standard silicon bridge — no Schottky, no fast-recovery — built for 50/60 Hz line rectification. The 5 µA reverse leakage at 200 V is typical for a standard recovery part; it will not cause standby loss issues in most designs. The 4-SIP GBU package has a 0.100-inch pitch that mates with standard perfboard or a PCB layout — no fine-pitch soldering required.
