Active production — a straightforward BOM fit
The GBPC1501-E4/51: The Vishay GBPC1501-/51 is an active-production single-phase bridge rectifier in the standard GBPC package, rated for 15 A average rectified output and 100 V peak reverse voltage. It is a direct drop-in for any BOM calling for a 15 A, 100 V bridge in the 4-Square GBPC footprint with QC terminal mounting.
Rated output and thermal margin
At 15 A average rectified current (Io), this bridge handles the full-wave output of a 100 V peak-reverse (Vrrm) secondary winding. The forward voltage drop is specified at 1.1 V max at 7.5 A — roughly half the rated current — so conduction losses at full load will be higher, and the designer should budget heatsinking accordingly. The junction temperature range of -55°C to 150°C gives ample margin for a power supply running in a 50°C ambient enclosure. Reverse leakage is 5 µA at the rated 100 V blocking voltage — a low figure that keeps standby dissipation negligible in a continuously biased supply.
Package and termination — QC terminal GBPC
The 4-Square GBPC package uses quick-connect (QC) terminals, which mate with standard 0.250-inch female spade connectors. This termination style is common in power-supply and motor-drive assemblies where field replacement or harness assembly is preferred over soldered joints.
