The GBPC1206-E4/51: The Vishay GBPC1206-/51 is a single-phase bridge rectifier in the standard GBPC package, rated for 600 V peak reverse voltage and 12 A average rectified output current. The 600 V peak reverse rating covers most single-phase mains applications up to 240 VAC with margin for line transients — the 12 A average current is the continuous DC output the bridge can deliver with the heatsinking the GBPC package provides.
Forward drop and leakage — what they mean for the BOM
Maximum forward voltage is 1.1 V at 6 A — at the full 12 A rating the drop will be higher, but the 1.1 V figure at half-rated current gives a reasonable estimate of conduction loss in a typical load.
Package, mounting, and compliance
The GBPC package is a 4-Square, through-hole form factor with QC (quick-connect) terminals — it mounts to a chassis or heatsink via the centre hole and accepts standard 0.250-inch female spade connectors on the four terminals.
