Forward drop and thermal budget at 1.5 A
At 1.5 A average output, the 1.1 V forward drop means about 1.65 W dissipation across the four diodes. In the DFS package, that heat needs a decent PCB copper area or forced airflow to keep junction temperature below 150°C. If your load pulls close to the 1.5 A limit continuously, derate the current or add a heatsink pad under the package — the datasheet's thermal resistance figures will guide the copper pour size.
Leakage and reverse recovery at 600 V
Reverse leakage is specified at 10 µA when the full 600 V peak reverse voltage is applied. That is low enough to avoid wasting power in standby or light-load conditions, but worth checking if the bridge sees sustained high-line transients — the leakage doubles with temperature, so at 125°C junction it will be higher. Standard recovery diodes like this one have a recovery time in the microsecond range, fine for 50/60 Hz mains rectification but not for high-frequency switching supplies.
