Active production — a straightforward BOM line
The DF04MA-E3/45: Rated for 400 V peak reverse voltage and 1 A average rectified output current, it handles the common low-power AC-to-DC front end — think small power supplies, appliance control boards, or auxiliary bias rails where a full-wave bridge is needed in a single package.
The 400 V peak reverse rating (VRRM) gives headroom for rectifying 240 VAC mains — the peak of a 240 V sine wave is about 340 V, so the 400 V rating leaves a 60 V safety margin for line transients without needing an external snubber in most benign environments.
Through-hole DFM package — board-fit and thermal path
The copper leadframe inside the DFM body conducts heat from the die to the PCB copper pads — for 1 A continuous duty, the board-side copper area sets the effective thermal resistance, so a generous pad pour on the solder side keeps the junction below the 150 °C ceiling.
Temperature grade and deployment environment
ROHS3 compliant per the current Vishay manufacturing — no exemption expiry to track on this BOM line.
