The 1.5KE250A-E3/54: The Vishay 1.5KE250A-/54 is a unidirectional TransZorb TVS diode from the TransZorb series, designed to clamp transients on 214 V rails. This is a through-hole part in the DO-201AA (DO-27) axial-lead package, suitable for point-of-entry or bulkhead transient suppression on power buses.

Voltage selection and thermal margin

The reverse standoff voltage is 214 V; breakdown occurs between 237 V minimum and the clamping limit of 344 V. This provides a 23 V window above the working rail before the diode starts conducting, avoiding nuisance triggering on normal line ripple.
