1500 W bidirectional TVS for 136 V rails
The 1.5KE160CAHE3_B/C: It clamps transients at 219 V maximum when the surge current hits 7.1 A, and the reverse standoff voltage is 136 V — so it sits across a 136 V DC rail and stays off until a transient pushes past the 152 V minimum breakdown threshold. The operating junction range is -55°C to +175°C, covering under-hood and transmission-bay thermal profiles.
Clamping voltage and surge rating
The clamping voltage of 219 V at 7.1 A peak pulse current defines the protection ceiling for the downstream circuitry. A 136 V nominal rail sees the TVS avalanche at 152 V (minimum breakdown) and hard-clamps at 219 V — the energy is absorbed in the silicon junction, not passed to the load. Single bidirectional channel in the DO-201AA axial package — the same footprint as the standard 1.5KE series. The through-hole body handles reflow or hand-solder assembly without MSL concerns.
