The APXG160ARA221MF80G is a conductive polymer aluminum capacitor from United Chemi-Con's NPCAP™-PXG series, rated 220 µF at 16 V with an ESR of 22 mΩ — the low resistance is what sets polymer types apart from wet-electrolytic equivalents, letting the part handle 3.3 A of ripple current at 100 kHz without the thermal penalty a higher ESR would impose. Rated lifetime is 15000 hours at 105°C, which means the part is qualified for continuous duty in power-supply output stages and motor-drive DC-link positions where the ambient stays elevated — a 105 °C hot spot inside an enclosed enclosure is within the operating envelope.
