The APSG200ELL331MH08S is an aluminum polymer capacitor from United Chemi-Con's NPCAP™-PSG series, rated 330 µF at 20 V with ±20% tolerance — a general-purpose bus capacitor in a radial can form factor. The two numbers that drive the selection are 3.88 A ripple current at 100 kHz and 17 mΩ ESR. Polymer construction keeps ESR low enough that this part handles high-frequency switching currents in point-of-load converters and DC-DC stages without cooking the can — a standard wet electrolytic at the same ripple rating would be twice the size. 15,000 hours at 105 °C gives thermal headroom for derating; the -55 °C cold start means it survives industrial cold-cycle environments without the voltage derating a standard electrolytic demands at low temperature.

Through-hole radial footprint and mounting

8.00 mm body diameter with 0.138-inch (3.50 mm) lead spacing puts this in the standard 5 mm pitch family — it drops into the same footprint as many 330 µF and 470 µF electrolytics on the same rail, making it a candidate for direct replacement on existing boards. The seated height of 9.00 mm and bulk packaging mean no reel constraints — this is the through-hole part you drop into a board already populated with leaded passives.
