74ABT533 — 8-bit transparent latch with 4.9 ns propagation delay
It provides eight latches with tri-state outputs, each capable of sinking 64 mA or sourcing 32 mA, making it suitable for driving heavily loaded buses or multiple fan-out in industrial control, telecom, and data-acquisition boards. The 4.9 ns propagation delay keeps up with fast memory and processor interfaces operating at 5 V ± 0.5 V.
32 mA / 64 mA output drive — bus-driving headroom
The 32 mA high-level and 64 mA low-level output current ratings are the strongest in the 74ABT latch family. This drive strength allows the SN74ABT533AN to directly drive a 50 Ω backplane or multiple TTL loads without external buffers. In a typical motor-drive control board, the latch can hold the state of eight digital outputs while the processor reconfigures the PWM registers, and the high sink current handles the transient inrush of optocoupler LEDs.
