TDK ACT1210-110-2P-TL00 — what the ratings mean for your BOM
The ACT1210-110-2P-TL00 is a 2-line signal line common mode filter from TDK's ACT series, qualified to AEC-Q200 for automotive applications. It is rated for 300 mA continuous current at 80 VDC, with a common mode impedance of 550 Ohms at 10 MHz and 11 µH inductance at 100 kHz. The 550 Ohm impedance at 10 MHz targets conducted EMI suppression on differential signal pairs like CAN, LIN, or USB 2.0 in automotive ECUs. The 400 mOhm maximum DCR means a voltage drop of 120 mV at full 300 mA load — acceptable for 5V or 3.3V signal rails but worth checking if the downstream IC has a tight supply tolerance. The -55°C to +150°C operating range covers the full under-hood temperature envelope, including the 125°C ambient ceiling of AEC-Q100 Grade 0. The ACT series is designed for engine bay, transmission, and exhaust-side electronics where the ambient temperature exceeds 105°C.
The horizontal orientation keeps the profile low for PCB stacking or under-shield placement. The 4-pad footprint is a standard common-mode filter layout — no special pad geometry required beyond the recommended land pattern in the TDK application note.
