700 Ohm common mode choke for automotive power lines
The TDK ACM90V-701-2PL-TL00 is a two-line common mode filter from the ACM-V series, designed to suppress conducted EMI on DC power rails in automotive and industrial environments. Its core spec is 700 Ohms impedance at 100 MHz, paired with a 5 A continuous current rating and an 80 VDC voltage rating — the impedance peak targets the 100 MHz band where switching noise from DC-DC converters and motor drives radiates.
DC resistance and current derating
Maximum DC resistance is 10 mOhm — at 5 A the I²R loss is 250 mW, which the horizontal 4 J-Lead package dissipates into the PCB copper without a forced-air assist.
Package and board integration
The 9.00 mm x 7.00 mm horizontal package with 4 J-leads sits low at 4.50 mm seated height — the J-lead footprint is a standard reflow profile; no special stencil aperture is needed for the 0.177-inch tall body. Tape-and-reel packaging (cut tape also available) means it feeds into a standard pick-and-place line; the J-lead geometry self-centers during reflow, so the placement accuracy window is forgiving.
