150 V, 20 A common-cathode Schottky pair
The RB218T150NZC9 from ROHM Semiconductor is a dual Schottky rectifier in a common-cathode configuration, rated for 150 V reverse voltage and 20 A average forward current per diode. It is housed in the TO-220FN full-pack (TO-220-3 Full Pack) through-hole package, which provides full isolation between the mounting tab and the die — no insulating pad is needed when bolting to a heatsink. This part is described as a super-low-IR device, with a reverse leakage of only 20 µA at the rated 150 V. The forward voltage drop is 880 mV typical at 10 A, keeping conduction losses manageable in a 20 A per-diode design.
Switching speed and thermal limits
The diode is classified as a fast recovery type (≤ 500 ns, > 200 mA Io), which suits it for rectification in switch-mode power supplies and freewheeling circuits where the reverse recovery charge needs to be low to limit switching losses. The TO-220FN package's full-mold construction means the back of the package is electrically isolated — the thermal resistance to the heatsink is higher than a standard TO-220, so the heatsink sizing must account for the full-pack interface.
