Omnipolar Hall switch for battery-conscious designs
The BU52777GWZ-E2: The ROHM BU52777GWZ- is an omnipolar Hall-effect switch — it responds to both north and south pole magnetic fields, so the sensor doesn't care which pole of a magnet passes by it. That simplifies mechanical alignment in a lid-closure or proximity detect application: any magnet orientation triggers the output.
Trip points and temperature range
The magnetic switch points are ±17 mT (operate) and ±11 mT (release) at 25°C. The 6 mT hysteresis prevents chatter at the switching threshold — a magnet moving slowly past the sensor won't cause multiple edges on the output.
Surface-mount package and sourcing posture
No through-hole variant exists, so the pick-and-place line handles it without a separate insertion step.
