The 300 µA reverse leakage at 90 V is a room-temperature figure; Schottky leakage doubles with every 10 °C rise, so at 125 °C junction the leakage current into the load dominates the standby budget and must be accounted for in the thermal design. This eliminates the need for a mica insulator and thermal grease between the tab and the heatsink, simplifying the assembly step and reducing the thermal resistance path. The full-pack construction also provides electrical isolation between the tab and the heatsink, so a single common heatsink can be shared across multiple devices without isolation pads.
