Triple-rail LDO for multi-voltage sensor and RF chains
The BU6654NUX-TR from ROHM Semiconductor integrates three independent LDO regulators in a single VSON008X2030 package, delivering fixed 1.5 V, 1.8 V, and 3.3 V outputs — the three most common supply rails for mixed-signal sensor modules, RF front-ends, and MCU I/O banks. Each output is rated for 200 mA continuous, enough to power a small FPGA core, a Bluetooth LE radio, and a MEMS sensor simultaneously from a single 5.5 V input rail.
PSRR and noise rejection across the audio band
Power supply rejection ratio is specified at 70 dB at 1 kHz — this means the regulator attenuates ripple on the input by a factor of 3,162 at that frequency. For a switching converter feeding the LDO, 10 mV of 1 kHz ripple on the input becomes roughly 3 µV at the output, which keeps noise out of sensitive analog or RF circuits. Dropout voltage is 0.46 V at 150 mA, so the 1.8 V rail needs at least 2.26 V input to stay in regulation — a 3.3 V bus or single Li-ion cell provides adequate headroom.
Industrial temperature grade and protection set
Over-current and over-temperature protection are built in — the regulator folds back output current during a short and shuts down if the junction exceeds the thermal limit, recovering automatically when the die cools. Each regulator has an independent Enable pin, allowing the system to sequence power rails or shut down unused outputs to save battery life. The fixed output configuration eliminates external feedback resistors, saving board space in the compact VSON008X2030 footprint.
