Fixed 2.5 V output, 200 mA LDO in a 5-pin SOT-753
The BU25TD3WG-TR is a fixed-output positive LDO from ROHM, delivering 2.5 V at up to 200 mA from a single regulator in a 5-SSOP (SOT-753) package. Input voltage range goes to 6 V max, with a dropout voltage of 0.54 V max at full load — keep the input rail above 3.04 V to stay in regulation at 200 mA.
PSRR is 70 dB at 1 kHz, meaning the regulator attenuates upstream switching ripple by a factor of ~3000 at that frequency — relevant for powering sensor signal chains or ADC reference buffers where supply noise couples into the measurement path. Quiescent current is 60 µA typical, so the regulator's own draw stays low enough for battery-powered designs that spend most of their time in a lightly loaded state.
Package and rework — SOT-753 with enable pin
The SOT-753 (SC-74A) body is small enough for dense layouts but still hand-solderable with a fine tip or hot air — the exposed pad is the centre tab, and the enable pin lets you sequence the rail with a logic signal. Operating temperature covers -40°C to +85°C, so it fits industrial control cabinets and outdoor telecom gear that see temperature swings. Built-in over-current and over-temperature protection means the part will fold back rather than fail short on a fault — useful when the downstream load is a prototype or a field-replaceable module.
