4Kbit serial EEPROM with a simple 3-wire bus
The BR93G66FVT-3GE2 is a 4Kbit serial EEPROM from ROHM, organized as 256 x 16 bits and communicating over a Microwire interface. That means you talk to it with just three lines — chip select, clock, and data — which any MCU can bit-bang without a dedicated SPI peripheral. Clock frequency goes up to 3 MHz, so reading or writing a full 4Kbit page takes a couple of milliseconds. The industrial temperature range (-40°C to 85°C) means it works in a motor drive cabinet or an outdoor sensor node just as well as on a benchtop.
The supplier device package is designated 8-TSSOP-B. It is surface-mount only — no socket option — so plan for reflow or hot-air rework if you need to swap it in the field. No special handling beyond standard ESD precautions.
ROHS3 compliant, no restricted substances to chase down for export or regulatory review.
