What this EEPROM is built for
The BR25H128FVT-2ACE2 is a 128Kbit serial EEPROM from ROHM's Automotive AEC-Q100 series, organized as 16K x 8 bits and communicating over an SPI bus at up to 10 MHz. Its -40°C to 125°C operating temperature range and 2.5V to 5.5V supply voltage make it a direct fit for engine control units, transmission controllers, and other under-hood electronics where both temperature extremes and supply noise are routine.
SPI throughput and write cycle timing
The 10 MHz SPI clock delivers a read throughput of 10 Mbit/s, sufficient for fast parameter uploads at system power-on. The page write cycle time is 4 ms, which sets the minimum interval between successive write commands when updating calibration tables or fault logs.
Package and supply rail flexibility
The 2.5V to 5.5V supply range allows direct connection to either a 3.3V or 5V rail without an intermediate regulator, saving a BOM line.
