PWM flyback converter — 8.9 V to 26 V input, 600 µA output
The ROHM BM2P095F-GE2 is a PWM step-down DC-DC converter using flyback topology, delivering a single adjustable positive output from a minimum 1.25 V reference. Input range spans 8.9 V to 26 V, with the output configurable up to the input maximum. Switching frequency is fixed at 65 kHz — the flyback transformer and output capacitor are sized for this fundamental, not a higher harmonic.
Package and board-fit — 8-SOIC surface-mount
The surface-mount footprint matches standard SOIC-8 land patterns — no thermal pad underneath, so the junction-to-ambient thermal path is through the leads and the copper area on the PCB.
Synchronous rectification and output current
The BM2P095F-GE2 does not integrate synchronous rectification — the external flyback diode handles the secondary-side current, and the 600 µA output rating reflects the continuous current the primary-side switch can deliver to the transformer. For designs targeting higher efficiency at low output voltages, an external Schottky diode is the standard choice; the 65 kHz switching frequency keeps the diode recovery losses manageable.
