45V input, 5V fixed output — the wide-range LDO for harsh environments
The ROHM BD750L05G-CTR is a fixed 5V, 50mA linear regulator in a SOT-753 package, designed for applications where the input rail can swing up to 45V.
Maximum dropout is 0.5V at 50mA, so a 5.5V input holds the 5V rail through cold-crank dips. The 60dB PSRR at 120Hz is enough to knock down 100/120Hz ripple from a rectified AC bus or a switching pre-regulator, though designs needing better than 1mVpp ripple at higher frequencies should plan for a post-filter. Protection features — over-current, over-temperature, and short-circuit — are all on-chip, so a dead short on the output won't take out the regulator or the upstream supply.
